10 Boy Party Ideas I Love This Week

By  | Last Updated:

I am constantly amazed at the imaginative designs I see for boy party ideas. What a privilege to be invited to so many parties! This week brought themes ranging from birthday ideas featuring dinosaurs and cowboys, to monsters and heroes like Buzz Lightyear, to barnyard farm animals and nautical inspiration, with a few turkeys flying for Thanksgiving in between. Hope you enjoy the variety of interpretations, even (or maybe especially) on familiar boy party themes.

Boy Party Ideas for Owl Birthday

1.) From Giggles Galore: Kids’ Thanksgiving Table Setting — Lots of texture and autumn color with fun polka dot cupcake wrappers and orange stripe straws make for a delightful Thanksgiving table for kids. I especially enjoy the darling felt owl wraps for glass milk bottles. With a table set up like this, kids are sure to keep happily busy while moms and dads visit.

Farm Themed Boy Birthday Party Ideas

2.) From Dream Flavors Celebrations Party and Favors, via Kara’s Party Ideas: Barnyard Themed 1st Birthday Party — This is an over-the-top celebration and the details are amazing! The barnyard dessert table backdrop looks like something from a children’s theatre production. Each guest table has a miniature farm yard as a centerpiece. Especially worth looking at is the fabulous cake. These Farm Animal Balloons I recently saw would be the perfect touch to do this party yourself. I am obsessed with them.

3.) From Party Envy, via Pretty My Party: Cowboy Birthday Party — For a boy who is fascinated with Wyatt Earp and all things old western, this is the perfect theme. Party fare like cowboy hats and mustaches, root beer and gun smoke (cotton candy), dress up the decorations. All of the accoutrements create some special photo ops, too.

4.) Via Project Nursery: Carnival First Birthday Party — Carnival brights, stripes, dots, and chevrons fill this party with a visual feast! Lots of carnival details and loads of balloons make for a fun atmosphere. I really like the way the celebratory #1 makes repeat appearances throughout the decorations. There’s a great cake here, too, and just so much to ooh and ahh over!

Monster Themed Boy Birthday Party Ideas

5.) From Party Magic, via Hostess with the Mostess: Fuzzy and Cute Monster Party — Vivid colors and cheerful monsters produce a lighthearted party atmosphere. There’s so much to see/look at/exclaim over! Even the kid entrance to the party is special: guests must walk through a google-eyed monster’s mouth!

Buzz Lightyear Boy Birthday Party Ideas

6.) From Isabel’s Confetti, via The Little Big Company: Buzz Lightyear 2nd Birthday Party — This party is charming! Lively colors and cute graphics afford a visual treat. It seems this party was REALLY planned for the two-year-old because there is a themed play area, a bubble machine and kid-friendly activities like pin the eye on the alien.

Nautical Boy Birthday Party Ideas

7.) From Styled by Belle, via Amy Atlas: Anchors Aweigh 1st Birthday —This time honored nautical theme is handsomely decorated in stripes and patterns in red, white and blue. The entire dessert collection entices. This is a classic, masculine celebration.

Race Car Boy Birthday Party Ideas

8.) From Party Rite: Race Car Themed 6th Birthday Party — Black and white checks with red accents produce a party full of visual energy. A double cake, bridged by a roadway and racing cars is certain to delight any car-crazy boy.

Dinosaur Boy Birthday Party Ideas

9.) From KLM Events: Dinosaur 2nd Birthday Party — A nice color combo of early-earth browns and greens are complimented by orange, aqua and yellow to keep things cheerful. A splendid dessert table and kid friendly activities are sure winners.

Thanksgiving Party Ideas

10.) From Anna and Blue Paperie: Decorations for a Thanksgiving Kids’ Table — Simple ideas make the kids’ table easy to prepare, but keep it holiday special. The crayon holding plastic cup that is transformed into a turkey is a favorite idea.

Are you thinking ahead to Christmas, too? These projects would be fun to do with the kids.

  • Paper Chain Advent Wreath: An easy project that will also help answer “how many more days?” so you won’t have to repeat yourself!
  • Reindeer Hot Cocoa Cones: Make up a batch and keep them in a bowl for decorations. Share them with drop-in guests for holiday good cheer.
  • Snow Globes: Who doesn’t enjoy the magical transport of a snow globe?
