Nothing is as exciting as a candy buffet! Giving guests the freedom to choose candies to fill up their party bags is a sweet idea. Partygoers of all ages got excited when they spotted the themed dessert bar laden with beautiful apothecary jars full of candies and tray after tray of sweets. Nora and Veronica set up a simple backdrop in their theme colors of blue, red, and black with butcher paper and crepe streamers, and a masculine VROOM, VROOM chalkboard pennant banner.
Theme-colored candies like cherry Jolly Ranchers, Twizzlers, and Cookies n’ Cream Hershey’s Kisses look great in jars dressed up with ribbon and paper tags with a tough-looking tattoo font. Favor bags with chalkboard tags stand by so partygoers can grab a bag, and fill it up. Sweet treats like cupcakes and blue and red Rice Krispie treats flank gorgeous biker and tattoo art cookies by ARQ-Sweet Creations.
The cake by Olivia’s Cakes is perfect, featuring both Suzuki and Harley art Oliver’s family favorites. The sugar glass flames are absolutely amazing, and the checkered fondant detail on the pedestal is an extra-special touch. Nora and Veronica creatively utilized riding gloves around the bottom of the cake stand.
Motorcycles loaned by Oliver’s dad and uncle were only for display, but with a little imagination and a trip to the Bike Shop costume area little bikers could grow a ‘stache, or get inked with tattoo sleeves, then tie on a bandana to complete the look; they were ready to Ride to Live and Live to Ride!
Oliver’s enthusiasm for motorcycles inspired this motorcycle birthday party, and Nora and Veronica planned a fantastic celebration around his fascination. Whether your little one is into motocross or choppers, there are some unique ideas to glean from this event and incorporate into planning your own. Does this motorcycle-themed birthday party have you all revved up?
