Table of Contents
Our easy buffalo chicken dip recipe is a divine mixture of succulent shredded chicken, salty cheddar cheese, smooth cream cheese, hot buffalo wing sauce, and blue cheese. This perfect appetizer recreates the flavors of buffalo chicken wings being dipped in blue cheese dressing.
Little Smokies or devilled eggs are also classic additions to an appetizer menu that will never steer you wrong.
Buffalo Chicken Dip Ingredients
You’ll need:
- 2 (8-ounce) packages of cream cheese
- 2 cups of blue cheese crumbles
- 2 chicken breasts (poached & shredded or use canned chicken)
- 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup buffalo wing sauce
PRO TIP:
It’s best to shred the cheese yourself, store-bought shredded cheese is usually covered with a coating that means it doesn’t melt quite as well.
SUBSTITUTIONS AND ADDITIONS
CHICKEN: To make it even easier, you could get a cooked rotisserie chicken and shred it or just use canned chicken in this easy recipe.
HOT SAUCE: We like Frank’s hot sauce for this buffalo dip recipe but if you have another favorite hot sauce, you can certainly use that instead.

IN THE FREEZER: We don’t recommend freezing this creamy dip as all the creamy components may separate when thawed.
