POTATO CHIP CHICKEN TENDERS INGREDIENTS

potato chip chicken tenders raw ingredients that are labeled

You will need:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 8.5 ounce bag of ruffle chips, crushed

SUBSTITUTIONS AND ADDITIONS

Chicken: Instead of slicing 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, you could opt for buying the chicken tenders. If you go this route, you will need a package of about 15 chicken tenders.

Potato Chips: You can use any type of ruffled chips for your chicken tender breading. Whichever brand you prefer is just fine.

HOW TO MAKE THIS POTATO CHIP CHICKEN TENDERS RECIPE

STEP ONE: In a medium mixing bowl, add flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Whisk to combine.

STEP FIVE: Using tongs, dip chicken in flour, then dip chicken in egg wash, then dip the chicken in the crushed potato chips, making sure to coat the entire piece.

STEP SIX: Place the chicken strips on the parchment paper lined baking sheet and place in the oven. Bake at 425 degrees F for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.

STORAGE

IN THE FRIDGE: Leftover chicken tenders can be stored in the fridge in a Ziploc bag or airtight container for 3 to 4 days. To reheat them and keep the breading crunchy, I recommend reheating your chicken tenders in the oven or a toaster oven instead of the microwave.

IN THE FREEZER: You can freeze leftover, cooked, chicken tenders for up to 1 month. Place them in the freezer, on a baking sheet, until they are hard. Then put them into a Ziploc freezer bag. You can cook them straight from the freezer at 425 for 20-25 minutes.
