White Queso Dip Ingredients
You will need:
- 1 pound white American cheese
- ½ cup milk
- 4 ounce can of green chilies
- 1 teaspoon of taco seasoning
Ingredient Substitutions:
CHEESE: I used sliced cheese but you can also cube a block of cheese if you’d rather.
MEAT: For a heartier dip recipe, add half a pound of cooked ground beef or chorizo to your cheese dip. You can also add half a cup of crispy, cooked and crumbled bacon on top before serving.
BEANS: If you’re looking for added texture, add a cup of black or pinto beans OR serve alongside yummy refried beans.
How to Make White Queso Dip
STEP ONE: Place the cheese and the milk in a medium-size sauce pan over medium-low heat and stir until cheese has melted.
STEP TWO: Remove from heat and add the green chilies and taco seasoning and mix together. If you’re serving at a party, I would suggest keeping it warm in a crockpot on low.
PRO TIP: If your cheese dip is too thin, you can add in a tablespoon of cornstarch to help thicken it up. If your cheese dip is too thin, Add a little chicken broth to help thin it out.
