This non-alcoholic drink packs a punch of flavor with its perfect blend of tangy citrus and fizzy soda.

The blue lagoon mocktail is not only delicious, but it also has a beautiful and vibrant blue color that will brighten up any occasion.

You’ll need:

  • ⅔ cup of blue curacao syrup (non-alcoholic)
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cups of ice, divided in half
  • 1⅓ cups of Sprite
  • 2 orange slices, optional garnish
  • 2 maraschino cherries with stems, optional garnish

PRO TIP:

Blue curacao syrup is non-alcoholic and NOT the same as the blue curaçao liqueur you can get at the liquor store. Find it on Amazon or wherever you buy specialty syrup for coffee.

Substitutions And Additions

CITRUS: You can add one teaspoon of fresh orange zest for a citrus kick in this blue lagoon recipe.

SPRITE: For a not-so-sweet alternative, substitute seltzer water or club soda for Sprite in your blue curacao mocktails.

LEMON JUICE: You can substitute bottled lemon juice for freshly squeezed lemon juice in this blue mocktail.

ALCOHOLIC VERSION: You can turn this easy mocktail into a grown-up beverage by replacing the syrup with one ounce of blue curacao liqueur for each drink.

How To Serve

This mocktail version of the classic blue lagoon cocktail is family-friendly and fun. Serve it at a summer party or simply when you are craving summer.

Add our cucumber bites and fruit salsa with cinnamon chips on the side for snacking.

Alternatively, you can go for something heartier, like grilled pineapple chicken kabobs or shrimp tacos. The zesty flavors of these dishes are elevated by the refreshing mocktail.

Storage

We’ve got a few handy tips for planning ahead and storing the components of the cocktail.

MAKE AHEAD: While this mocktail is best when enjoyed freshly made, you can certainly prepare parts of it ahead to save some time.

Mix the blue curaçao and lemon in advance, but hold off on adding the lemon-lime soda and garnishes until you’re ready to serve.

This way, you can keep the vibrant blue hue and fizzy freshness when you’re ready to enjoy.

IN THE FRIDGE: This refreshing mocktail is best served immediately and will not keep in the fridge.

IN THE FREEZER: We don’t recommend freezing this drink. It is best made fresh.
