You’ll need:

  • 1 cup of whole milk (or substitute preferred milk)
  • ½ cup of chocolate syrup (plus more for drizzle)
  • ½ cup of mini chocolate chips
  • 2 cups of ice cubes
  • Spray whipped cream OR real whipped cream (1 cup whipping cream and ¼ cup powdered sugar) for topping

Substitutions And Additions

COFFEE: If you need a caffeine fix, add a shot of espresso or some strong iced coffee for a mocha chocolate chip Frappuccino.

CHOCOLATE SYRUP: We used Hershey’s syrup in this easy recipe, but you can use whichever brand you prefer. Adjust the amount for your desired taste.

SWEETENER: You can also add a couple of dashes of simple syrup to sweeten the drink without needing to add more chocolate flavor.

MILK: If you are looking to make this drink dairy-free, almond milk, soy milk, and coconut milk are all great options

How To Make This Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino Recipe

All you need to do to make this decadent drink is toss the ingredients into a blender and give it a whirl. Pour into your favorite glass and top with whipped cream.

OUR RECIPE DEVELOPER SAYS

This recipe makes two drinks. You can easily double or half the recipe to adjust the number of servings.

STEP ONE: Combine the milk, chocolate syrup, mini chocolate chips, and ice cubes in a high-powered blender.

PRO TIP:

The longer you blend the drink, the smaller the chocolate chip pieces will become, but using a high-powered blender (Vitamix, Blendtec, etc.) will pulverize the ice and combine the ingredients while still leaving a few chocolate pieces scattered throughout.

STEP TWO: Pulse to blend until the ice has broken down into equally small pieces.

STEP THREE: Pour between two tall drink glasses. You can drizzle chocolate syrup around the inside of the glass first if you’d like.

PRO TIP:

If you would like to make your own whipped cream for the topping, combine one cup of heavy cream and a quarter cup of powdered sugar in a mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, whip until stiff peaks form.

STEP FOUR: Top with whipped cream and a chocolate drizzle.

PRO TIP:

You can add additional mini chocolate chips and stir them in before serving for added chunks in the Frappuccino.
