You’ll need:

  • 3 cups whipped heavy cream (1½ cups heavy cream should double in volume to 3 cups), divided
  • ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 cups of ice cubes

PRO TIP:

It is very important that the cream is already whipped when added to the blender. If you simply add heavy cream, the drink will have the consistency of milk.

SUBSTITUTIONS AND ADDITIONS

WHIPPED CREAM:  You can also opt to use Cool Whip instead of whipped cream for this tasty treat to make the recipe even quicker to whip up.

STRAWBERRIES: Add a burst of vibrant pink to your drink by adding fresh or frozen strawberries to your blender for a strawberry lemonade version.

ALCOHOL: Add a shot of vodka, whiskey, or tequila for a spiked version of this perfect drink.

How to Make This Whipped Lemonade Recipe

OUR RECIPE DEVELOPER SAYS

Keep all the ingredients chilled right up until you’re going to make the drink so that everything stays cold longer.

STEP ONE: Place 2 cups of whipped cream, fresh lemon juice, sweetened condensed milk, and ice into a blender.

PRO TIP:

You can adjust the sweetened condensed milk to taste. Using ½ cup for two large servings is not super sweet, so you can add more for a sweeter lemonade.

STEP TWO: Blend on high speed for approximately 15 seconds or until the mixture is an even milkshake-like consistency.

STEP THREE: Divide the blended lemonade mixture between two tall, chilled glasses.

STEP FOUR: Top with the remaining whipped cream and serve immediately.

PRO TIP:

You can add 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar to the last cup of the whipped cream and whisk it in just before topping the whipped lemonades for a sweetened whipped cream topping.

How To Serve

This amazing drink will be the perfect thing to cool you down on a hot day. Serve this refreshing lemony treat along with a plate of our soft blueberry cookies or fresh fruit salsa with cinnamon chips.

Cold refreshing drinks such as our strawberry lemonade and watermelon cocktail are two more delicious options that will cool you down when the weather warms up.

Storage

IN THE FRIDGE: We don’t recommend trying to keep leftovers of this drink in the fridge. Prepare this refreshing summer drink just before serving.

IN THE FREEZER: We don’t recommend freezing any components of this drink. It is best to make your lemonade when you are ready to enjoy it.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Could I use a milk frother instead of a blender for this recipe?

This creamy drink is best made with a high-powered blender. The ice cubes may not allow a milk frother to blend the drink properly and it may damage the frother.

Can I use Cool Whip instead of making whipped cream myself?

This easy recipe can also be made using a store-bought whipped topping in place of homemade whipped cream.

Can I add other fruit to this recipe?

Adding other fruit would be a great way to get creative with this tasty drink. Try strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, peaches, or raspberries for great choices.
