PINEAPPLE LEMONADE INGREDIENTS

pineapple lemonade raw ingredients that are labeled

You will need:

  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1 cup Country Time Lemonade drink mix crystals
  • 2 cups 100% pineapple juice
  • 2 cups 7UP, chilled
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh lemon and pineapple for garnish, optional

Pro Tip: Make sure the juice is 100% pineapple juice rather than a pineapple drink.

SUBSTITUTIONS AND ADDITIONS

Fruit: Try adding some frozen mango or strawberries in place of the ice cubes for an even more fruity flavor. What about a sprig of mint for a splash of green?

Lemonade: Replace the plain drink crystals with pink lemonade crystals for a fun drink for a little girl’s tea party.

7UP: Try Sprite or soda water in place of the 7UP for a twist.

Alcohol: You can make this into a spiked version by adding 8 to 12 ounces of alcohol, depending on how strong you want it. Try vodka, tequila, bourbon, or coconut rum, depending on your preference.

STEP FOUR: Pour into glasses over ice and garnish with lemon slices and pineapple chunks if desired.

PRO TIP: Add fun patterned paper straws to dress up your drink.

HOW TO SERVE

Serve in a pretty pitcher with floating pineapple rings or lemon slices for a picture-perfect drink.

If you are serving in individual glasses, add frozen pineapple chunks in the glasses in place of ice cubes. They work well for keeping the drink cold and don’t water down the drink the way the ice cubes would as they melt.

For an adult cocktail, add one of the suggested liquor options from above and a drink umbrella to this simple southern-style pineapple lemonade for an afternoon of entertaining.

STORAGE

IN THE FRIDGE: This drink will lose its carbonation (fizz) after a couple of hours, so it is best to serve right away. Even without the fizziness, it still has a nice flavor and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You could also leave out the soda and add it in at the last minute if you want to make it ahead of time and keep it in the fridge for a day or two before serving.

This fresh pineapple lemonade mocktail makes you think of warm climates and afternoons at the beach. The perfect balance of sour and sweet will make it hard to sip this delightful drink slowly.
