HOW TO SERVE

You can serve dump cakes hot or cold. It’s amazing fresh from the oven, but I also love the flavor and texture of cold dump cake. It’s perfect served warm alone, or with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream on top.

STORAGE

IN THE FRIDGE: You should store any leftovers in the fridge, which will last for three or four days when sealed.

REHEATING: You can microwave individual servings or pop bake in the oven for a few minutes to warm through.

I make it often, but like to sprinkle coconut and chopped nuts on top………and serve w/a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream! Yum

  2. Teresa says

I use white cake and put chopped pecans on top. Also make one with pumpkin, you can always use different pie fillings.

  3. Susan says

Can I use pineapples tidbits instead or could I crush those since I don’t have crushed on hand?

  4. Tammy says

My family has been making this for years, usually with apple pie filling and spice cake mix, yummy! But like to use chunk pineapple in its own juice, I like big bites of hot pineapple, so good! πŸ’•
