Let’s Dish: About This Cocktail
Main Ingredients: Fireball whisky, white rum, grenadine, tart cherry juice, pineapple juice, peach nectar.
Quick Steps: Layer grenadine, mixture of cherry juice, pineapple juice, rum, and ice. Add Fireball whisky and peach nectar.
Total Time & Yield: 3 minutes, yields 1 cocktail.
Why This Recipe
- This campfire cocktail recipe stands out with its unique layering of flavors, combining Fireball whisky, rum, and tropical juices to create a drink that’s visually and flavorfully reminiscent of a glowing bonfire.
- Other recipes often lean too heavily on bourbon or marshmallow garnishes to evoke a campfire feel. Instead, our version balances the spice of Fireball with the sweetness of pineapple and cherry juices, offering a fruity twist that’s refreshing yet warm—perfect for both summer nights and chilly evenings.
- By using ingredients like tart cherry juice and fresh peach nectar, our recipe brings a fresher and brighter flavor than others that rely on premixed juices or additional sweeteners.
Campfire Cocktail Ingredients
The warmth of whisky, the tangy pop of pineapple and cherry juice, and the smooth sweetness of peach nectar and grenadine are blended together to create a beverage that warms you from the inside out.
With each sip, you’ll taste a unique blend of flavors that perfectly captures the essence of a cozy night spent around the campfire.
You’ll need:
- 0.5 ounce of grenadine
- 0.5 ounce of tart cherry juice
- 0.5 ounce of pineapple juice
- 1 ounce of white rum
- 1 ounce of peach nectar
- 2 ounces of Fireball cinnamon whisky
- Ice cubes (enough for the cocktail shaker and glass)
- Optional garnish ideas – Orange slices, maraschino cherries with stem, pineapple chunks
This recipe makes one cocktail; if you want to make a larger batch, adjust the ingredients accordingly.
Substitutions And Additions
PEACH NECTAR: If you can’t find peach nectar at the store, peach syrup will work in this cocktail recipe.
CHERRY JUICE: Cranberry juice can provide a similar tartness and vibrant color to the cocktail. For a slightly different fruity twist, raspberry juice can work as a substitute with its tart and sweet profile.
WHITE RUM: Light rum or silver rum can be used interchangeably with white rum to maintain the cocktail’s base spirit.
FIREBALL WHISKY: Cinnamon schnapps or cinnamon liqueur can offer a similar spicy and cinnamon kick without the whiskey base.
GARNISH: Citrus wedges can provide a zesty and fresh garnish. A sprig of fresh mint can add a burst of herbal aroma and a pop of color. To enhance the cinnamon flavor, consider using a cinnamon stick as a garnish.
How To Make This Campfire Cocktail Recipe
Chill all ingredients prior to making to help keep the ice from melting.
STEP ONE: Add the grenadine to the glass, then fill the glass with ice.
STEP TWO: Fill the cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
STEP THREE: Add the cherry juice, pineapple juice, and rum to the cocktail shaker, then pour the rum mixture gently over the ice.
To help achieve a layered effect, you can pour cocktail components over the back of a spoon into the glass in steps 3 and 4.
STEP FOUR: Add the peach nectar and Fireball whisky to the cocktail shaker and shake until combined.
Pour the Fireball mixture gently into the glass over the rum mixture.
STEP FIVE: Add the optional orange, cherry, and pineapple garnish and serve.

This version would be a nice refreshing drink for a hot summer day/nightโฆBut for the winter – I would swap out the tart cherry to pomegranate juice and maybe swap out the pineapple to a crips tart orange juiceโฆ.
Anyway, the is an interesting drink that I would surely be having this up coming summerโฆ๐๐น
