INGREDIENT SUBSTITUTIONS & ADditions
ONION: The red onion in this slaw adds great flavor, however, if you’re not a huge fan of onions they could be left out. You could also use green onions instead for a more mild onion flavor.
VEGETABLES: The great thing about broccoli slaw is that you can add additional veggies as you like. For example, I love to add in peppers of all colors in this recipe.

STORING THIS RECIPE
In the fridge
The best way to store your broccoli slaw is to refrigerate it in an airtight container. Properly stored, homemade broccoli slaw will last for 3 to 5 days in the fridge. It’s also best to store it in the fridge between servings to keep it as fresh and crisp and as possible.
In the freezer
To extend shelf life, you can freeze leftover slaw, although it is not recommended because this recipe calls for mayonnaise. Mayonnaise does not freeze well and tends to separate when it is thawed. This can leave you with a watery dressing.
Broccoli slaw is a delicious and unique twist on the classic side dish of coleslaw. Using crunchy broccoli slaw with a creamy homemade slaw dressing makes this cold salad, out of this world. You will love this fun new way to eat your slaw!
