Knowing where to start when a party like this comes your way, is tough. So let’s start from the top. The event was held under an incredible burlap-covered tent. Strands of leaf garland and vines were hung overhead with stuffed monkeys and streamers hanging from them. It is overflowing with the coolest jungle decorations. in shades of brown, yellow, and lime green plus some animal print and a pop or two of color thrown in for added interest. It definitely brought in that jungle atmosphere with a slightly wild animal feel.
A large monkey balloon, clusters of polka dot balloons, and animal print lantern balls (Paper Glitter) added to the festive atmosphere that definitely lent itself to lots of monkey business. An incredible dessert table was styled at one end of the party space. It featured a colorful, oversized jungle scene complete with swinging monkeys which made for a fabulous focal point. Using this kind of readymade backdrop is a great idea when you need a quick décor option that makes a big impact.
The front of the table was accented with jungle vine bunting from Little Pipika, while the tabletop was laden with pots of ferns and leaves. Bordered by bamboo sticks and large leaf decorations from Paper Glitter, the table was the perfect setup for a smorgasbord of wildly delicious desserts.
We are crazy for a great dessert spread, and this one does not disappoint. Let’s start with the adorable two-tiered cake. Delicious fondant work makes it such a great centerpiece for the dessert table. One layer is dressed up in animal print, while the top layer boasts the cutest fondant monkey complete with fondant bananas and a trail of fondant leaves. Super cute cupcakes in striped paper liners are topped with amazing edible fondant animal accents. A jungle dessert table wouldn’t be complete without lion, elephant, and monkey cookies. The detailed work on these jungle cookies is second to none. After all, cookies are meant to be eaten!
More cuteness is to be seen on the jungle dessert table, this time in the form of cake pops. Who doesn’t love cake pops—little bite-sized balls of cake deliciousness, coated in more deliciousness and served up on a stick? They are heavenly. We love how Kate dressed her cake pops up with cute monkey face printables from Paper Glitter to coordinate with the jungle theme. Now that’s some monkey business!
Jungles are notorious for all creatures of the creeping, slithering, and hopping kind, in addition to the wild ones. These blue Jell-O cups topped off with foil-wrapped chocolate frogs are a nod to the hopping kind. Kids love Jell-O cups, but we bet they especially loved this version. Two treats in one, a total score!
To the delight of jungle party attendees, the dessert table also included a variety of treat jars. For those wild about candy, the jars were filled with all sorts of candy confections, from banana bites to gummy worms and other sweet treats. Equally as cute as the dessert table, a juice bar was established in the jungle party room to keep guests sufficiently hydrated. Super cute monkey cups were displayed via a 3-tiered stand, as were adorable custom-wrapped bottles of juice. The jungle juice bar bunting, tropical plants and foliage, and stuffed monkeys were a cute way to reinforce the jungle vibe and theme.
Tables for enjoying all of the scrumptious offerings were set up in style. Cardboard palm trees lined the tables that were covered in brown linens. Place settings included a jungle-themed meal box and a polka-dotted cup with a bright orange striped straw. We love how each place setting was accented with a jumbo leaf. The dining tables were vibrant and cheerful with an emphasis on a fun jungle motif.
For those who adventured at this delightful jungle birthday party, a thoughtful favor station was a stopping point before departing. Darling lemon and lime striped favor bags were accented with adorable monkey “thank you” labels for Ethan to send home with all of his friends. Opening the bags to reveal the contents was surely another adventure in and of itself. We would love to monkey around at this party. Wouldn’t you? What a fun celebration!
