Never Think About What to Make for Dinner for the Next Two Months with My Lazy Cooking Bundle
When is baking a cake not baking a cake?
(I know…this sounds like one of Sam’s homemade jokes—but it’s not!)
The answer: When you use a Philips Airfryer to make a cake—because you don’t need an oven.
I recently made not-fried, fried chicken and then I shared with you how I made not-fried, fried potatoes (healthy frying with almost no oil). So I had to follow it up with an air-baked chocolate cake.
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I didn’t know how to make a chocolate cake in an Airfryer, but it came out moist and delicious!
The recipe I used to prepare this mound of chocolate delight is quite similar to a cake recipe that’s cooked in an oven, but the air bake temperature is a lot lower.
And I liked that there is no need to heat up the entire kitchen with a hot oven.
When it was finished air baking, my cake slid right out of the non-stick baking pan. So gratifying. If you’ve ever had part of your cake layer stick in a regular pan, you know what I mean.
Philips Airfryer has several accessories for purchase including a fry grill pan, baking pan, double layer rack and variety basket. And they’re all dishwasher safe—yippee!
A recipe booklet with 25 recipes comes with the Philips Airfryer plus they have a free app that can be downloaded with over 200 additional recipes.
Healthy, homemade meals in minutes are appreciated any time but with the busy holiday season just ahead, I know my Philips Airfryer is going to get a workout.
For now, I’ve got my eye on a banana cake recipe I want to try. And after that, it’s going to be an eggless cake.
Yes, Marie, let them eat cake!

hi there, do you think I could bake this with my instant pot air fryer lid, and use the trivet and non stick cake pan for the instant pot? or do i have to use the air fryer bowl thing it came with? I have not baked in it yet and wanted to try this recipe 🙂 thank you!
I have only made it in the air fryer attachment, so I can’t say for sure how it would turn out using something else!
