Ingredients
For the cake
3eggs
½cupsour cream
1cupflour
⅔cupsugar
8tablespoonsbutter,room temperature
⅓cupcocoa powder
1teaspoonbaking powder
½teaspoonbaking soda
2teaspoonsvanilla extract
For the frosting
2cupsicing powdered sugar
8tablespoonsbutter,room temperature
2tablespoonscocoa powder
2tablespoonsheavy cream
⅛teaspoonsalt
Instructions
For the Cake
Preheat your air fryer to 320°F.
Mix the cake ingredients with a hand mixer on low speed.
Pour the cake batter into the oven attachment of the air fryer that has been sprayed with non-stick spray.
Place in the air fryer basket and slide into air fryer.
Set timer to 25 minutes.
Once timer rings, insert use toothpick to see if cake is done. If it does not spring back when touched, cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Cool cake on a wire rack.
Once your cake has cooled, ice with frosting.
For the Frosting
Combine frosting ingredients with a mixer on low speed until well blended.
Spread frosting over cooled cake.
Slice and serve.
Notes
Even if your cake pan is coated, it is still a good idea to spray it with cooking spray before you pour batter into it.
Make sure to check your air fryer manual for time guidelines for your specific model as times and temperatures vary depending on the type of air fryer you have.
Keep a close eye on the cake. Since the air fryer cooks from the top, you don’t want a burnt top of your cake.
