Storage

ON THE COUNTER: If you happen to have leftovers of this tasty treat, store them in an airtight container until you’re ready to eat again. You’ll want to keep it in a cool place so that the candies don’t melt.

IN THE FREEZER: We don’t recommend freezing this treat as the popcorn and pretzels may become soggy once thawed.

I would love to make this with my 10 year old great niece, my 4 1/2 year old great great nephew and when he is old enough my 1 1/2 year old great nephew. I think they would love to make this as gifts for their teachers at school and pre-k as well as for their granny. I know they would love to add Reese’s pieces to the mix and maybe some nuts. I think this will definitely be my next years Christmas project with them. I can’t wait!!

I would like to add melted red and green chocolate wafers then make them into individual candy canes or even a wreath to gift it to someone

I’ve been looking for an easy, but different recipe to make for gifts for my co-workers. This looks like the one! I think it would be fun and easy to make with kids, too. We could brainstorm other possible add ins. Can’t wait to try it!

Maybe add a little Chex mix. But definitely going to make this it sounds so good and easy to make. Merry Christmas ⛄⛄🎄🎄.

I also change up this popcorn pretzel recipe by leaving out the m&Ms and adding in salted caramels and peanuts. I make your recipe for the caramels but use a Ziploc baggie and only dot the caramels onto wax paper so that they are tiny… One year I cut up probably 20 caramels very tedious LOL.

I have made a recipe very similar to the one you published. For adults I crushed up coffee candy and added that. For my minty friends I crushed up starlight perpermints. For me toffee bits in this mix. I love toffee.

What a great idea. My grandchildren would enjoy making this. My freinds have children and I think they would love this. A great gift for them. You could add peppermint pieces to the mix. That would really make it Christmas treat.

  11. Maureen says

A great idea for the kids down the street. I’ sure they would love this. Don’t know about mom with the suger hiigh.

  12. Evelyn Rogers says

If you are making this for children or as a gift for friends
, I would omit the peanut M&Ms as a precaution for any peanut allergies. I think colored sprinkles would be a better choice.
