Substitutions And Additions
STEAK: Sirloin steak works best for these flavorful steak bites. However, you can also use a different cut of steak, such as strip steak, flank steak, chuck, or filet as well.
GARLIC: You can buy fresh garlic and mince it yourself. This is really easy if you use a garlic press. Alternatively, you can buy minced garlic in a jar instead.
RED PEPPER FLAKES: If you like things with a kick, try sprinkling these juicy garlic butter steak bites with red pepper flakes.
How To Make This Steak Bites Recipe
The key to juicy steak bites is to lock in the flavor by searing the meat first. Next, you will make the buttery sauce to pour over top of the steak.
STEP ONE: Chop your steak into cubes that are about 2 inches in size. Toss the steak in salt and pepper to season it.
STEP TWO: Place the olive oil in a large frying pan or large skillet and heat it over high heat.
PRO TIP:
Because butter can burn at high heat, using the olive oil to cook the steak and preparing the garlic butter separately will ensure that everything cooks perfectly at the temperature that is best for each component.
STEP THREE: Place some of the steak pieces in the hot pan (only until you have a single layer of steak). You don’t want to add it all at once. Work in batches so that you are cooking single layers of steak, and continue this until all of the steak is cooked.
Fry each batch in the hot skillet for about 4 to 5 minutes until thoroughly cooked. As each batch is cooked, place it in a serving dish and set it aside.
PRO TIP:
Try not to stir the steak bites for the first minute or so to allow the pieces to get a nice sear on them to lock in the juicy flavor.
STEP FOUR: Once all of the pieces of steak are cooked and in the serving dish, use the same frying pan to prepare the butter mixture. Place your butter, garlic, and Italian seasoning into the frying pan over medium-high heat and cook until the butter is melted and the garlic is slightly browned. This should take no longer than 2 minutes.
STEP FIVE: Pour the garlic herb butter mixture over the steak bites in the serving dish and toss them to coat evenly. Sprinkle parsley over the top to garnish, and serve your juicy steak bites!

My extremely picky 8 year old LOVED these, the whole family loved them. I had a bit of garlic and butter left in the pan so I cooked asparagus in that too, so yummy! Also made homemade mac n cheese in my insta-pot! Great meal, thank you!

My son asks for this each and every time. I get the steak already cut into beef tips to cut the time in half and I usually toss them along with the garlic, butter, oil, and other spices in a gallon-sized Ziploc bag and let them marinate for a few hours just to get all that yummy goodness. I toss in some sliced mushrooms too.
