This Christmas fudge is a sweet embodiment of the holiday spirit, featuring velvety white chocolate as its star ingredient.

Combined with vanilla frosting, it offers a buttery texture that melts in your mouth.

You’ll need:

  • 2 (11-ounce) bags of white chocolate chips
  • 1¾ cups vanilla frosting in the tub
  • 1 teaspoon red gel food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon green gel food coloring

Substitutions And Additions

FOOD COLORING: You could even switch up the green and red food coloring for other colors in this creamy fudge.

FLAVOR: Add two to three drops of peppermint extract to this delicious treat for an extra festive flavor.

TOPPINGS: Add crushed candy canes or holiday sprinkles to the top of the fudge before it sets for a crunchy and extra touch to this homemade fudge.

How To Make This Christmas Fudge Recipe

It takes no time at all to mix up the fudge ingredients. Once combined, you can have fun swirling the red, white, and green together for a colorful treat.

STEP ONE: Line an 8×8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, making sure that you use a big enough piece that it overhangs the sides.

PRO TIP:

The parchment paper allows you to easily remove this perfect fudge from the square pan to slice.

STEP TWO: In a double boiler on the stovetop on medium-low heat, place the white chocolate chips into the bowl along with the vanilla frosting.

STEP THREE: Stir the white chocolate chips and vanilla frosting every couple of minutes to evenly melt the chocolate chips without allowing them to burn.

It will take between eight to ten minutes to get your white chocolate completely melted and smooth.

PRO TIP:

Be very careful not to allow any of the steam or water to get into the melting white chocolate. It can cause your chocolate to seize up and makes it unusable for this recipe.

STEP FOUR: Using two additional bowls, divide your melted chocolate and frosting into three equal portions.

Add the red gel food coloring to the first bowl and stir until completely blended.

STEP FIVE: Repeat with the green gel food coloring in the second bowl. Your third bowl will remain plain white.

STEP SIX: Using a large spoon, dollop two tablespoons full of each of the colors randomly in the prepared pan.

Once all the melted chocolate is in the pan, take a butter knife and swirl the colors around to make a pretty swirl pattern.

PRO TIP:

The fudge will start to set up quickly, so make sure you have everything ready so you can work quickly.

MAKE AHEAD: If you’re planning for a stress-free holiday season, you can definitely make your Christmas fudge ahead of time.

Store it at room temperature for up to two weeks or in the fridge for longer freshness.
