There’s nothing like the first sip of a frosted Chick Fil A lemonade. It’s the perfect balance of sweet and tart, with just the right amount of zing to make your taste buds happy.

The refreshing flavor is delightfully addictive and keeps you craving more. It’s an absolutely mouthwatering thirst-quencher, especially on a hot summer day.

You’ll need:

  • 1⅓ cups of freshly squeezed lemon juice (6 large lemons)
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of VERY cold water
  • 6 cups of vanilla bean ice cream
  • 4 to 5 drops of yellow food coloring (optional)
  • 4 sliced lemons (optional garnish)

PRO TIP:

When fresh lemons are on sale at the grocery store, buy a bag full of them and juice them. You can freeze lemon juice in ice cube trays so that you always have fresh juice on hand.

Substitutions And Additions

LEMON JUICE: You can substitute bottled lemon juice for freshly squeezed in this easy copycat recipe.

It will not have the same fresh taste as real lemon juice, but it will do in a pinch.

LEMONADE: You can substitute thawed frozen lemonade concentrate for lemon juice.

Depending on how sweet the brand of concentrate is, you will need to reduce the amount of sugar to at least ¼ to ⅓ cup.

FRUIT: You can add other fresh fruits, such as strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries, to your homemade lemonade.

How To Make This Chick Fil A Lemonade Recipe

Storage

Let’s dive into how you can store and enjoy this treat whenever the mood strikes.

MAKE AHEAD: While this Chick-fil-A lemonade recipe is quick and easy to make fresh, you can prepare some elements ahead of time.

You can freeze lemonade concentrate in ice cube trays for a convenient shortcut.

Whenever you’re ready to enjoy your frosted lemonade, simply blend the frozen lemonade cubes with vanilla ice cream, and you’re good to go.

IN THE FRIDGE: You can store the fresh lemonade in the refrigerator until you are ready to add the ice cream. It is intended to be enjoyed immediately when the ice cream is added.

IN THE FREEZER: We don’t recommend freezing this Chick Fil A frosted lemonade. It is best to make your lemonade when you are ready to enjoy it.
