Semi-Homemade Double Chocolate Cookies
This delicious recipe is brought to you by Shoebox and created by me!
Our family recently moved to a new house and we have been BUSY! Were still in the process of making it our home and my sweet husband has been my champion. He has been hefting furniture, unpacking boxes, helping with the kids and whatever else I need him to do except agree to the new, teal dining room chairs I want. A-hem. Anyway, I wanted to let him know how much I appreciate his extra efforts by making one of my own. Enter: chocolate cookies and a Shoebox card. You know, when you care enough to send the very best Hallmark? Shoebox is Hallmark approved, sorta. I think theyve got the best cards!
I love to giggle. And laugh. When Im not in a rush at the store, you can find me pausing in the card aisle, chortling over cards. I can always count on the Shoebox brand for a good snicker. I love the surprise of their Bad Boy irreverenceits always good for a laugh! I confess I enjoy reading even some of the inappropriate ones that I wouldnt buy! I know Im not the only one who regularly appreciates their humor cause Ive heard other customers laughing out loud and when Ive looked up to see whats up, there is a lone customer, chuckling while choosing favorites.
I wrote Domingo a little note in the card I picked to say thanks and to make him laugh. I don’t know…call it puppy love butt maybe not?
For the cookies, I used a double chocolate cookie mix and followed their directions because it is super-easy and semi-homemade and Ive been way too busy to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I just added one box of instant chocolate pudding mix and ¾ cup of chopped walnuts. Domingo loved the cookies and the card. And me, of course.
And it looks like Im getting my new, teal dining room chairs, too (insert laughter!). Thanks Shoebox!
