You’ll need:
- 4 cups of corn Chex cereal
- 4 cups of rice Chex cereal
- 1 cup of Corn Nuts
- 1 cup of white cheddar Cheez-its
- 1 cup of bagel chips
- 1 cup of mixed nuts
- 1 cup of pretzels
- 1 packet of dry ranch seasoning mix or homemade ranch seasoning
- 1 tablespoon of freeze-dried dill (or dried dill weed)
- 2 teaspoons of garlic salt
- ⅓ cup of vegetable oil

SUBSTITUTIONS AND ADDITIONS
VEGETABLE OIL: You can also use butter instead of vegetable oil – if you use salted butter, substitute garlic powder instead of garlic salt.
ADD-INS: There are plenty of different mix-ins you can add to this great snack. Tasty substitutions include Cheerios, mini-pretzels, pretzel sticks, oyster crackers, or goldfish crackers.
CHEX: It is up to you which types of Chex cereal you use in this classic recipe. While the recipe calls for a cereal mixture, if you prefer one type or can only get one type at the grocery store, wheat Chex, corn Chex, and rice Chex all work fine, just make sure it adds up to 8 cups.
How To Make This Dill Pickle Chex Mix Recipe
STEP ONE: Preheat the oven to 250°F. Line two full sheet pans (16×24) with parchment paper and set aside.
STEP TWO: In an extra-large bowl, mix cereals, corn nuts, Cheez-its, bagel chips, nuts, and pretzels. Toss to combine.
PRO TIP:
When making a Chex mix, make sure to use your largest mixing bowl.
STEP THREE: In a small bowl, whisk together ranch seasoning, dill, garlic salt, vegetable oil, and pickle juice.
STEP FOUR: Drizzle the seasoning mixture over the Chex mixture, stirring constantly with a rubber spatula to distribute the liquids over as much of the dry mixture as possible.
STEP FIVE: Stir until the seasoning is evenly distributed.
STEP SIX: Spread the Chex mix on the prepared sheet pans, separating all of the pieces as much as possible into a single layer. If you’d like, you can divide the mixture between three sheet pans.
PRO TIP:
Try to lay it out in a single layer as best you can so it can cool and harden once baked and not stick together. If you need to speed up the process, you can put your baking sheets in the refrigerator.
STEP SEVEN: Bake for 30 to 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes until the Chex mix is completely dried and beginning to brown.
STEP EIGHT: Allow the mixture to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
