Cookie Dough Dip raw ingredients that are labeled

You’ll need:

  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips

PRO TIP:

The mini chocolate chips work best for this dip. I find that the standard-size chips are just too big when you are trying to dip.

SUBSTITUTIONS AND ADDITIONS

MIX-INS: You could also experiment with other flavors and treats mixed in. This sweet dip would be yummy with mini peanut butter chips, mini white chocolate chips, toffee bits or mint chips stirred in as well with the mini chips.

FLAVOR: Add a couple of drops of mint extract or another extract flavor to change up the taste of this dip.

PRO TIP:

Make sure that your cream cheese and butter are very soft before mixing for a super smooth and creamy dip.

STEP ONE: In a large bowl, with an electric mixer or stand mixer on low speed, cream together the butter, cream cheese, brown sugar, salt and vanilla.

STEP TWO: Add the sifted powdered sugar and the mini chocolate chips. Gently stir with a spatula until combined and the powdered sugar is completely incorporated.

STEP THREE: Cover your bowl with plastic wrap and chill the cookie dough dip for 30 minutes in the refrigerator prior to serving.

PRO TIP:

This delicious dip can be served immediately or stored in the refrigerator, in a covered container, if made ahead. If you do put it into the refrigerator for longer than 30 minutes, you may need to let it sit on the counter for 10 to 15 minutes to warm up a little prior to serving. Give it a good stir as well.

HOW TO SERVE

You can serve this dip with honey graham crackers, animal crackers, vanilla cookies, oatmeal cookies (or our amazing cranberry pecan oatmeal cookies) or fresh fruit. You could also eat it with a spoon. It’s THAT good! I think it’s also tasty served alongside something salty, like pretzel rods or twists. The sweet and salty combo together is the best!

I put this no-bake chocolate chip cookie dough dip in a bowl, surrounded by the treats for dipping on a platter, to make for easy serving.

This yummy dip would be a great idea to serve at a kids’ party. Or as an after-school snack with cut-up apple slices, too.

STORAGE

IN THE FRIDGE: This decadent dip can be refrigerated for up to 5 days but it will get a little harder and less creamy. If you let it sit out to warm up for 10 to 15 minutes it should return to its original consistency.

IN THE FREEZER: You can freeze this dip. Just be sure to put it inside a freezer-safe sealed container. You’ll want to thaw in the fridge until it’s soft and then leave on the counter for a few minutes to return to a creamy texture.
