Not that I have ever done that… cough, cough.

Delicious peanut butter makes this recipe an award-winning crowd-pleaser.
Peanut butter is such a versatile food — what else can you serve for breakfast to dessert and everything in between? It can be added to almost any meal or snack for a tasty, nutritious boost.
With each two-tablespoon serving, you’ll get eight powerful grams of protein, two grams of fiber, and 12 grams of unsaturated fat.
With busy, hungry, growing boys under my roof, I appreciate that it’s affordable as well.
You’ll need 2/3 cup peanut butter for this recipe, but you might want a little extra so you can take a couple of bites while you’re making your pie. 😉
How to Make Peanut Butter Pie Filling
Let’s get started with this treat!
To create this old-fashioned, creamy, smooth dessert, you’ll begin by creaming the peanut butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar. Next up, add the milk.
How to Make Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie
Once the filling is well mixed, pour into your crust.
Traditional peanut butter pie recipes are made with a graham cracker crust.
Our version uses a chocolate crust instead, which offers an even more delicious flavor combo in my opinion!
How Do You Freeze Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie?
Next, you’ll freeze for three hours before serving.
Remove from the freezer and thaw for 10 minutes before cutting to serve.
My boys love eating this frozen in the summertime.
It’s a great old-fashioned dessert idea for hot evenings in the backyard or at a potluck!
How to Serve Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie
For our dessert, I serve with chopped peanut butter cups on top before serving.
You could also add extra whipped cream or drizzle with chocolate syrup.
You could also add more chopped nuts on top if you want.
There are lots of possibilities — maybe you should try them all to choose your favorite. 😉
