This easy, homemade Chocolate Zucchini Bread is the best recipe you’ll ever have!

You guys, today we’re talking about the best chocolate zucchini bread ever.

Now, I love a good zucchini bread — it’s actually one of my go to recipes and something that I make regularly.

I love how simple it is to bring together and how amazing it smells when you take it out of the oven.

We’re taking it up a notch today though: we’re adding in chocolate.

Chocolate, you guys.

A main food group in my opinion.

Chocolate Zucchini Bread with Glaze

This insanely delicious chocolate zucchini bread recipe is brought to you in partnership with Mirum.

Stephanie’s stepmom Eileen passed along this recipe to me. It’s incredible.

As are all things that come to me from Eileen’s recipe box so it was no surprise to me how delicious this special treat turned out.

Armed with a new recipe, I took my little guys into the kitchen and told them it was time to get started baking a new treat.

They love helping out and they especially love being my taste testers, so they were up for the task.

Before starting to bake, I was a little nervous though. Sometimes chocolate and oranges can give me heartburn.

They’re both ingredients in this moist bread.

I’m armed with a secret weapon though. I used to often skip some of my favorite foods because I knew I’d get heartburn from them.

Not anymore.

Kroger Omeprazole ODT

I started using Kroger Omeprazole Orally Disintegrating Tablets — it’s designed to treat the symptoms of frequent heartburn.

Since it’s available at Kroger, it’s easy for me to pick up while doing my other shopping. As a busy mom, I love this convenience.

Speaking of convenience, I love being able to use an orally disintegrating tablet instead of worrying about swallowing a pill.

Kroger Omeprazole

Omeprazole ODT with MELTech™ means the tablet is able to dissolve on your tongue easily. No glass of water is required, just pop it on your tongue.

It has a yummy strawberry flavor, too.

You can snag a $3 savings off with this special Ibotta offer.

If you’re suffering heartburn two or more days a week, I’d suggest looking into adding Kroger Omeprazole ODT to your routine. It’s a 14-day regimen that can provide long lasting relief.

Now that you know how to combat heartburn, let’s chat some more about this incredible chocolate zucchini cake.

Let’s gather the things you’ll need to make this delectable recipe.

We’ll be using flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, butter, sugar, eggs, orange zest, vanilla, zucchini, milk and pecans.

Zucchini Bread Ingredients

You could also experiment with other ingredients including making this with coconut oil, with apple sauce, with banana, with whole wheat or even going eggless.

You can make this into one large loaf or into mini loaves.

My boys love the mini loaves because they each get their own. 🙂

How to Make Chocolate Zucchini Bread

In a medium size bowl, mix together dry ingredients.

In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar.

Chocolate Zucchini Bread Recipe

Pour into bundt pan and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

This chocolate zucchini bread is amazing on it’s own… but with this special glaze, it’s even more amazing.

You’ll combine 1 ¾ cup powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons orange juice,  and 2 teaspoons orange zest. You’ll just combine the ingredients and once the bread is cool, pour the glaze on the top.

How to Store Zucchini Bread

This will keep in an air tight container for a few days… if it lasts that long.

In my house, it never makes it that long. 😉 Hungry little boys gobble it up.

You can also wrap it tightly and freeze it.
