Review RecipeBee-Themed First Birthday Party
Table of Contents
We adore the vintage and classy feel of this bumble bee-themed first birthday party. The beautiful yellow is perfect for a fresh look this spring! Tracy and her husband, Charlie, wanted to give their son Brendan a buzzin’ good time that guests could enjoy too as they celebrated his first birthday. She turned to Jenni of Bloom Designs for the printables and together they created one of the best bee-themed parties we have ever seen.

Every single decoration furthers the theme. One of my favorite elements is the framed virtues that include things like “Bee Fearless” and “Bee Patient”. What a great way to display the attitudes you hope to teach your child.
Tracey started with the gorgeous marigold-colored tablecloth. She also chose a large bee print to hang over the table.
She continued her color theme with printable tags and labels on the glass jars and even the water bottles. Notice that the water bottles even say “Happy Bee Day” — how cute! The glass jars and paper boxes that contain the food are a great touch that helps carry out the vintage feel. Tracy also used twine and yellow ribbon to tie the tags to her jars.
One of our favorite decorations is the paper mache bumble bee. What a unique way to bring your theme to life!
The treats that Tracy picked are all right in line with the bumble bee party theme as well! Everything is beautiful white or yellow and looks so pretty on the table!
Food can be a great way to carry out your theme. Items that Tracy served include whoopie pies {notice the black stripes!}, yellow hard candies, honey corn, honey taffy, banana caramel pots, chocolate brownie trifles.
We love the bright yellow rock candy and “bumble” gum balls as well! Those bright pops of color liven up the whole table. She even added little B’s to each of the popsicle sticks in her banana caramel pops. What a great touch!
The birthday cake is simple and white with a very cute little bumble bee friend up on top. The bright yellow is a great addition to the white frosting.
Brendan truly had a bee-utiful first birthday party with these unique ideas and decorations!
