This dill pickle dip is a creamy and tangy delight featuring a harmonious blend of ingredients.

The star is the chopped dill pickles, delivering a bold and tangy punch to the dip. resulting in a crowd-pleasing dip with a unique, flavorful twist, perfect for any social occasion.

You’ll need:

  • 16 ounces of sour cream
  • 8 ounces of cream cheese, softened
  • Ranch seasoning (or 1 packet of ranch seasoning mix)
  • 9-ounce package of deli-sliced honey ham, chopped
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cups of chopped dill pickles (about 20-ounce jar)

PRO TIP:

You can use pre-packaged ham or purchase ham by the pound from the deli. I liked the honey ham for contrast with the sour dill pickles in this perfect dip.

Substitutions And Additions

ONIONS: Two sliced green onions – use the green parts only – make about two heaping tablespoons of onion slices.

You could substitute very finely chopped red onion for the green onion in this cream cheese dip.

HAM: While honey ham adds a sweet and savory touch, you can get creative with other deli meats.

Try smoked turkey for a smokier flavor or roast beef for a hearty twist. These alternatives bring their unique profiles, so choose the one that best suits your taste.

DILL PICKLES: For a variation on the classic dill pickle taste, consider using bread and butter pickles.

They bring a sweeter and less tangy note to the dip, adding a unique twist without straying too far from the original concept.

RANCH SEASONING: If you don’t have ranch seasoning on hand or prefer a homemade touch, mix together a blend of dried herbs such as dill, parsley, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Adjust the quantities to your liking to create a personalized ranch-inspired seasoning mix.

Yes I love pickles. At age 8 I ate a whole jar of dill pickles at one sitting. Boy did I have to sit in a corner that day! Your recipe will be one of my favorites. I have made many jars of bread and butter pickles, but could never get the hang of making a good dill pickle.

I’m going to try this. I love pickles. I chop some in salads, hamburgers, hot dogs, egg salad, potato salad, deviled eggs and just munch them.

I am truly a big fan of pickles, this is delicious and I tried it with hot habanero pickles. Hit of the party, will use a lot, and with many different flavor pickles.
