The sensation of biting into a slice is heavenly – the gooey marshmallows melt in your mouth while the chocolate and graham crackers add the perfect amount of crunch.

Trust me, once you try campfire dessert pizza, you’ll never go back to plain old s’mores again.

You’ll need:

  • 4 large (9½-inch) flour tortillas
  • ⅔ cup of chocolate spread or Nutella
  • 1 sleeve of graham crackers, broken into bite-size pieces
  • 12 snack-size Hershey bars
  • 4 cups of mini marshmallows (1 cup per pizza)
  • Non-stick aluminum foil (2 sheets of foil per pizza and 1 large piece of foil for a “tent”)

PRO TIP:

You could cook the dessert pizzas in a disposable pie tin instead of foil. This way, you can use the pie tin over and over.

Substitutions And Additions

NUTELLA: You can use chocolate spread or Nutella. You can also use a chocolate peanut butter spread.

CHOCOLATE BARS: You can substitute 3 to 4 full-size Hershey bars for the miniatures in this s’mores dessert pizza.

TORTILLAS: You can substitute Greek pita bread for flour tortillas.

TOPPINGS: You can add any of your favorite toppings to this sweet treat. Strawberries, jam, peanut butter, chocolate chips, or nuts are all great options for your pizza.

How To Make This Campfire Dessert Pizza Recipe

While the campfire is getting started, you can get all of the ingredients ready to assemble on the grill. Let’s walk through the easy steps.

OUR RECIPE DEVELOPER SAYS

Remember, anything cooked over the open flame will be hot when removing. Grill with care!

STEP ONE: Build the campfire, then allow it to burn down to a nice bed of coals. Carefully place a grate over the coal bed.

STEP TWO: Lay out 2 pieces of aluminum foil sprayed with cooking spray to cook each pizza on. Place 1 tortilla on top of the foil.

PRO TIP:

Non-stick foil is a great choice to cook the dessert pizzas on.

STEP THREE: Using either a spoon or an offset spatula, spread 2½ tablespoons of chocolate spread or Nutella onto the tortilla, being careful to leave a small amount of the tortilla edge un-coated.

STEP SIX: Sprinkle 1 cup of mini marshmallows on top of the chocolate and graham cracker pieces. Repeat for the remaining tortillas.

STEP SEVEN: Place the dessert pizzas on the grate over the bed of coals. Be sure to keep the foil pieces under the pizzas.

STEP EIGHT: Use the larger sheet of aluminum foil to form a “tent” over the dessert pizzas.

STEP NINE: At 4 to 6 minutes, carefully rotate the pizzas to help them cook evenly.

STEP TEN: Once the chocolate and marshmallows are gooey and melted, remove the dessert pizzas. Slice and serve while hot and melty.

PRO TIP:

The foil side that touches the grate will most likely be a little oily from the non-stick spray or dirty with ash when you remove it, so be careful.
