A special thanks to Febreze for sponsoring the post today as part of a series for Socialstars™ and helping make my home ready for the big game.

Now that the hustle and bustle of the holidays are behind us, I’m getting ready for the next event: the big football game!

We love entertaining in our home. I enjoy creating yummy recipes for our family and friends to enjoy. I delight in having our home filled with laughter and conversation.

So any excuse I have to make these things happen…. I will embrace. Such as football!

And really, big game entertaining is one of my favorites because I can create lots of delicious appetizers to enjoy. A whole table of them.

I think appetizers are so much fun. I love that you can sample lots of different flavors and create a whole, filling meal out of finger foods.

Appetizers are often easy and quick to make. And I love being able to experiment with a favorite recipe and changing it up with new ingredients.

(Try the Best Buffalo Chicken Dip recipe as well! It’s another favorite appetizer we love.)

Beyond making yummy treats to enjoy, I’m doing a thorough clean up of my home. Taking care of Christmas decor is the perfect chance to also do a little organizing and deep cleaning.

Febreze SMALL SPACES

I’ve tackled several projects around the house already, which makes me feel all sorts of good. One thing was putting Febreze SMALL SPACES several spots around my house.

Because there is something wonderful and inviting about stepping into a home that smells good. And when you have active little boys, sometimes mama needs a little extra help to make that happen. 😉

I appreciate that Febreze uses OdorClear technology to eliminate odors, not just cover them up. Their Meadow & Rain scent smells like dancing in the rain. It’s my scent of choice as we get ready for game day entertaining.

Easy Football Party Ideas

The Febreze SMALL SPACES is great for a our bathroom. I pop it on the counter and I know it’s doing it’s job.

I can use Febreze AIR to spray in spots that need an extra burst of freshness. Just pull the trigger and it’s ready to go.

Now that my home is clean and smelling fabulous it’s time to get the yummies ready!

Join me in the kitchen as we get started!

What is Artichoke Dip?

I know this hot spinach artichoke dip will be a big hit at our football party. It’s an easy, homemade appetizer to make that your guests are sure to cheer for.

It has lots of cheese inside and on top plus a dash of hot sauce and garlic. Which are basically all key components to a perfect game day recipe in my book.

Warm, cheesy deliciousness for the win!

Ingredients for Spinach Artichoke Dip

Ingredients for Artichoke Dip

This simple baked recipe is the best. It’s so quick to make. You can even keep it warm in a crockpot or slow cooker for all afternoon munching.

Let’s put together what you need!

For this recipe, we’ll be using artichoke hearts, artichoke heart marinade, frozen spinach (you could use fresh as well) cream cheese, mayonnaise, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic, salt, pepper and hot sauce.

You’ll also want to be sure to choose an assortment of chips, crackers or baguettes for serving.

I have friends who have also experimented with additional ingredients like crab or jalapeno.

You can definitely try out different flavors and see what your family likes best! This artichoke dip will be a favorite, I’m sure.

I also often end up doubling or tripling this recipe before guests come because it disappears so quickly.

Transfer to a baking dish and top with remaining cheese.

Bake at 425 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Remove from oven and serve with chips, crackers or baguettes.

Dip with Tortilla Crackers

What to Serve with Artichoke Dip

I love serving it with some crispy tortilla chips. The dip is all warm and gooey and packed with flavor that goes perfectly with the crunch of the chips!

You could also use bread — warm and soft or a crisp baguette. I have a friend that loves to dip in her veggies as well.

Themed serving cups is a fun way to keep the party going even on the party food table.

These green and white treat cups are perfect for our football party. I also snagged football napkins!
