Never Think About What to Make for Dinner for the Next Two Months with My Lazy Cooking Bundle
Superhero parties continue to hold their own as a favored birthday theme!
When her own birthday boy requested the popular superhero idea, Lopa Chowdhury, professional party planner with The Pumpkin Carriage, summoned her own super powers. Planning everything from the party decorations to the party food (including savories, a sweets dessert table and birthday cake), party games and party favors, Lopa stamped the event with her fun, unique twist!

Lopa knew that to create a super party, she had to create a super environment. She loved the bright color palette and especially the adorable little flying superhero character created by Lou Lou Pie Creative. You will notice him carried throughout the styling on the invitations, tabletop centerpieces and even flying out of the cityscape dessert table backdrop. Pop art printables made for a darling banner, neatly displayed from the dessert station (printing by Jo’s Signs by Design.) A foam superhero crest by Foamtastic Party Decor added a custom element to the dessert table décor.
Set atop an aqua colored vintage desk, a cake by Sugarpot definitely fit the theme.
A fondant cityscape encased the cake topped off by a speech bubble proclaiming: “Nirvaan is 5!” It fit right in next to DIY skyscrapers made from boxes covered in paper.
“Kryptonite” cookies and “mighty” macarons were great choices, as each coordinated with the bright color scheme and looked delicious too.
The superhero inspired detailing on the cookies is amazing!
Superheroes need VIP seating. A colorful table was set up for their enjoyment. Poms and superhero characters lined the middle of the table for centerpieces.
A variety of character capes and masks were displayed at each chair and place setting.
Lopa incorporated classic pop art inspired superhero paper plates and party ware at each guest spot.
In addition to the sweets, Lopa served up spring rolls, veggie puffs, chicken nuggets, and fruit cups.
To entertain this group of caped crusaders, Lopa rented soft play equipment from Tiny Tots Toy Hire. It was the hit of the party! Superheroes could run and jump and have fun. After all, leaping tall buildings in a single bound requires practice! Additionally, Lopa organized several games for guests to enjoy, including musical chairs.
What’s a super favor for a superhero party? Lopa sent party guests home with a superhero cape and mask set as well as themed stationery and almond nougat. I can just imagine the hours of imaginative play post-party!
The next time your child asks for a popular party theme, channel your inner superhero and follow Lopa’s lead in creating a unique celebration for your child! Every little superhero needs a super party!
