Table of Contents
Add a bit of whimsy this summer with this tipsy mermaid cocktail. With layers of delightful colors and the fruity flavors of pineapple and melon, this tropical-tasting drink is a fun and beautiful adult beverage to keep you cool and refreshed.

Tipsy Mermaid Ingredients

You’ll need:
- 1 cup ice cubes (or enough to fill the glass)
- 1 ounce of Midori
- 1 ounce of white rum
- 2 ounces of pineapple juice
- 1 ounce of blue curacao
- Lime slices and maraschino cherries for garnish (optional)
PRO TIP:
The weights (depending on sugar content) of the different ingredients create the layered look. If you substitute any of the ingredients or their proportions, you will likely not get the same effect.
SUBSTITUTIONS AND ADDITIONS
PINEAPPLE JUICE: I like to get the little mini (6-ounce) cans of pineapple juice to keep on hand in my pantry. This way, I do not need to open a large bottle of pineapple juice if I am only using it to make a couple of cocktails.
How to Make This Tipsy Mermaid Recipe
STEP ONE: Fill a 12-ounce glass with ice.
OUR RECIPE DEVELOPER SAYS
It is essential to mix the drink precisely as directed to achieve the layered look. For example, do not pour in the blue curacao first, even though it goes on the bottom.
STEP TWO: Add the Midori, white rum, and pineapple juice to the glass. Stir well.

STEP THREE: Slowly pour the blue curacao over an upside-down spoon to direct the blue liqueur down the side of the glass.

STEP FOUR: Top with lime slices and maraschino cherries.
PRO TIP:
You can never go wrong with a paper umbrella in your drink to fancy it up.
