Let’s Dish: About This Fudge
Main Ingredients: Semi-sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, Milky Way Simply Caramel bars, Milky Way minis.

Total Time & Yield: 1 hour 13 minutes, makes 25 servings.
Why This Recipe
- Our Milky Way fudge recipe is the ultimate indulgence for candy lovers.
- While many other recipes focus solely on the convenience of microwaving ingredients, ours takes an extra step by carefully layering the chocolate fudge with a combination of Milky Way Simply Caramel bars and Milky Way minis.
- This ensures not only a smooth, creamy texture but also a delightful caramel and nougat burst in every bite.
- In contrast to simpler versions that melt the candy entirely into the fudge, leaving you with just a chocolate base, our recipe preserves chunks of candy throughout.
- This provides a more satisfying texture and makes each piece more dynamic than the one-dimensional versions you’ll find elsewhere.
- If you’re looking for a richer, more decadent fudge experience, this is the one to try.

Substitutions And Additions
CHOCOLATE CHIPS: Milk chocolate chips or dark chocolate chips could also be used in this delicious recipe.
MILKY WAY CANDY BARS: If you can’t find Milky Way bars, Mars bars, or any similar chocolate and caramel candy bars will work.
Snickers bars can add an extra crunch from the peanuts, making your fudge even more indulgent.
EXTRACTS: Experiment with different extracts to customize your fudge’s flavor.
Try adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract for a classic touch or a few drops of almond extract for a delightful nutty undertone.
NUTS: If you enjoy some crunch in your fudge, toss in a handful of chopped nuts like pecans, walnuts, or hazelnuts.
They’ll add a pleasant texture and a nutty depth of flavor.
SPRINKLES: For a festive twist, decorate the top of your Milky Way Fudge with colorful sprinkles.
SEA SALT: A pinch of sea salt sprinkled over the top of your fudge can balance out the sweetness and enhance the overall flavor.
It’s a simple addition that can make a big difference in taste.
How To Make This Milky Way Fudge Recipe
STEP ONE: Line a 9×9-inch square pan with aluminum foil. Spray with nonstick cooking spray, and set it aside.
STEP TWO: Add the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy cream to a 2 to 3-quart heavy-bottomed saucepan over low heat.
Stir constantly until the chips are melted and smooth.
Make sure you are using condensed milk, and NOT evaporated milk, or your fudge won’t turn out right.
STEP THREE: Spread half of the chocolate mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
STEP FOUR: Evenly layer 1½ cups chopped Milky Way Simply Caramel and one cup halved Milky Way minis.
You can chill the Simply Caramel and mini Milky Way bars in the refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes before cutting them into pieces. You can keep the sliced candy in the fridge before you add it to the fudge. This will help ensure the caramel does not ooze out prematurely before slicing the fudge.
STEP FIVE: Spread the remaining chocolate mixture over the candy layer.
STEP SIX: Finally, top the chocolate layer with the remaining candy.
Allow the fudge to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before tightly covering it with plastic wrap and chilling in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
You can score a grid pattern on top of the warm fudge before refrigerating to help cut clean slices. To help slice the fudge, run a large sharp knife under hot water. Be sure to dry the knife before cutting.

I would use dark chocolate and maybe add almonds or Twix bars. Yes, I always do cookie or “sweets” exchanges around Christmas time with my neighborhood or moms groups. 😀

Milky Way is my favorite candy bar. I am crazy about this recipe for fudge but I think I’m going to use the Milky Way Midnight. I love dark chocolate and the mix will be awesome. I am also going to make it with Snickers for my sister.
