Table of Contents
Our cotton candy cocktail is a whimsical beverage full of fun. Topped with fluffy cotton candy and flavored with strawberry simple syrup, sparkling water, and vanilla vodka, this sweet pink drink will make you feel like you’re sipping it in a fantasy land.
Cotton Candy Cocktail Ingredients
You’ll need:
- 6 ounces of vanilla-flavored vodka
- 1 ounce of strawberry simple syrup
- 1 ounce of fresh lemon juice (from half a medium lemon)
- 1 cup sparkling water
- 2-inch-sized ball of pink cotton candy (vanilla or strawberry flavored if available)
- 2 cups ice
- Fluffed-up ball of pink cotton candy for garnish
PRO TIP:
Make sure that you are only using pink cotton candy for this cocktail to keep the beautiful pink color of the cocktail. If you use the pink and blue combo packs, the blue cotton candy will muddle the color of the cocktail. It will taste the same; however, the color will differ.
SUBSTITUTIONS AND ADDITIONS
SIMPLE SYRUP: If you can not find the strawberry simple syrup (where other flavored simple syrups are found at your liquor store), you can substitute it with a strawberry daiquiri drink mixer for this sweet treat.
VODKA: I have tested this alcoholic drink recipe with vanilla-flavored vodka, strawberry-flavored vodka, whipped cream-flavored vodka, and unflavored vodka. I prefer the vanilla or strawberry-flavored vodkas the best. I suggest that if you use unflavored vodka, you use an additional 1 ounce of strawberry-flavored simple syrup in the recipe.
How to Make This Cotton Candy Cocktail Recipe
OUR RECIPE DEVELOPER SAYS
This recipe makes two drinks but can easily be doubled to serve more people.
STEP ONE: In the container of a cocktail shaker, add the vanilla vodka, strawberry simple syrup, fresh lemon juice, sparkling water, the ball of pink cotton candy, and ice.
STEP TWO: Shake well and pour into a highball glass. Be sure to strain out the ice.
STEP THREE: Garnish your cotton candy cocktail with a small bunch of pink cotton candy. Try to fluff it up before just barely setting it on top of the glass. You will want to ensure that your piece of cotton candy does NOT touch any of the cocktail liquid, or it will dissolve immediately.
PRO TIP:
When working with the cotton candy garnish, make sure your fingers are super dry and that the rim of the glass is also dry, especially after you pour the cocktail into it.
How To Serve
These bright pink concoctions would make fun drinks for a birthday party or girls’ night. Serve with our fruit salsa and cinnamon chips for an appetizer. Our cherry cupcakes or strawberry lemon cupcakes would be the perfect way to keep the pink theme.
Our Jolly Rancher drink and pink Starburst cocktail are two more grown-up drinks that incorporate a sweet candy treat.

You can substitute plain vodka for the vanilla flavor, although if you do this, we recommend you use an additional 1 ounce of strawberry-flavored simple syrup in the recipe.
