Ingredients

6 ounces vanilla-flavored vodka
1 ounce strawberry simple syrup
1 ounce fresh lemon juice, from half a medium lemon
1 cup sparkling water
2 inches sized ball of pink cotton candy, vanilla or strawberry flavored if available
2 cups ice
Fluffed-up ball of pink cotton candy garnished

Instructions

In the container of a cocktail shaker, add the vanilla vodka, strawberry simple syrup, fresh lemon juice, sparkling water, ball of pink cotton candy, and ice.
Shake well and pour into a highball glass. Be sure to strain out the ice.
Garnish your cotton candy cocktail with a small bunch of pink cotton candy. Try to fluff it up before just barely setting it on the top of the glass. You will want to ensure that your cotton candy does NOT touch any of the cocktail liquid, or it will dissolve immediately.

Notes

Make sure that you are only using pink cotton candy for this cocktail to keep the beautiful pink color of the cocktail. If you use the pink and blue combo packs, the blue cotton candy will muddle the color of the cocktail. It will taste the same; however, the color will differ.
This recipe makes two drinks but can easily be doubled to serve more people.
When working with the cotton candy garnish, make sure your fingers are super dry and that the rim of the glass is also dry, especially after you pour the cocktail into it.
