By  | Last Updated:

This easy chilli recipe is a staple in our house — and a staple party food for us as well. I always love the idea of setting up a huge pot of goodness {in my blue Creuset – one of my favorite wedding gifts} and serving this chili with crusty garlic bread.

The Quick and Easy Way to Make this Chili Recipe

Put the pan on medium heat and add ground pork and salt to taste. Stir occasionally and cook the whole way through. Stir in the tomatoes, lentils and beans and bring to a boil. Add in the maple syrup and cinnamon and let the chili simmer so that the flavors envelop themselves into the beans.

Chili Recipe Using Cinnamon

Have fun with this recipe. It’s basically fool-proof. Sometimes I add in chili pepper flakes to bring in a little heat. Other times, I have thrown in chocolate or more maple syrup to sweeten it up. Taste test the whole time and you’ll have lots of fun.
