Reindeer food is a delicious treat made of oats, sprinkles, and glitter that reindeer love to eat. Sprinkle it on your lawn on Christmas Eve to guide the reindeer right to your house!

Reindeer Food Recipe Ingredients

You’ll need:

  • ½ cup of oats
  • ⅓ cup of festive sprinkles
  • ⅓ cup of colored sugar

Reindeer Food Substitutions

GLITTER: You could also make this yummy treat with edible glitter. You can find it in the craft store baking section. 

SPRINKLES: We used fairly traditional red and green sprinkles for this special food, but you could also use fun shapes like snowflakes or snowmen. 

COLORS: If you like doing themed Christmas decorating, you could use any color sprinkles that match the decor that you’d like. 

How To Make Reindeer Mix

STEP ONE: Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, then distribute evenly in bags.

PRO TIP:

You can use a plain Ziploc bag or festive patterned cellophane bag to store your magical treats until they are ready to be sprinkled.

You can create this easy, homemade recipe complete with printable reindeer food tags in just a few minutes with a handful of ingredients you’ll have in your cupboard. Then, on Christmas Eve, head out to your lawn with your kids and sprinkle liberally.
