Review RecipeRum Punch

This rum punch is the drink you make when you want your party to feel effortless but memorable. It’s fruity, tropical, a little boozy, and incredibly refreshing– perfect whether you’re mixing up one glass or a punch bowl for a crowd.

The orange and pineapple juices create a juicy, sunshine-bright base. Grenadine and sweetened lime juice add layered depth—just the right hit of tangy sweetness. And the mix of dark and silver rum gives the drink structure without being overpowering. It’s the kind of cocktail that feels both playful and a little grown-up.
Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make it:

🍊Choose pulp-free orange juice and real pineapple juice (not blends). Avoid anything labeled “cocktail”—it’s often overly sweetened.🍊
For your convenience, we’ve put the full ingredients list and instructions in the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post.
Serving Suggestions
🍹For a single serving
Making just one? Grab your cocktail shaker. The process is quick, and shaking with ice helps blend the citrus, sweet, and rum into a smooth, well-chilled drink.

➡️ Tip: Use a fresh cup of ice in your glass instead of reusing shaker ice—this keeps the drink cold without watering it down.
🍍 Large batch for a crowd
Hosting a brunch, barbecue, or backyard bash? The large batch version is a no-fuss solution. Just stir everything together in a big pitcher or drink dispenser similar to the one pictured below 👇. You’ll still get that vibrant color and bold flavor—no shaker required.

Storage Instructions
Rum punch is best enjoyed fresh, but you can mix a large batch (without ice) and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours. Stir well before serving. Don’t store leftovers with ice in the mix, as it will water everything down.

Notes
- For a large batch, add all the ingredients (minus the ice) to a large drink dispenser and stir to fully combine. Refrigerate the rum punch until ready to serve. The large batch yields ½ gallon of rum punch. You can easily double these proportions to make a larger amount depending on the size of your punch bowl or drink dispenser.
- For best results, and smooth flavor, choose a good quality brand for your rums. Remember, the darker the rum, the bolder the flavor typically.
- You can substitute coconut rum for the dark rum for a slightly sweeter, more tropical flavor profile.
- Sweetened lime juice is a bottled lime flavored simple syrup, which can be substituted with ½ ounce fresh squeezed lime juice and plain simple syrup if desired. It is easily found where the grenadine, and other cocktail mixers are found in your local liquor or grocery store.
