Awesome! My cat love it.
Jack says
Is there a way to make soft kitty treats? My two rescues are still working on their teeth. We have hard treats that the pound gave us, but they’re not enthusiastic about them. TIA. Jack
Layne Henderson says
You could try not baking these as long so they would be less crunchy and softer ๐
Betty says
Great idea. I have two cats with gum issues. I have to keep treating my poor babies. Vet doesn’t know why. But I’m always reading about these treats and then being crunchy. My babies need very soft treats. Not too many out there. Thanks
Sherry says
Do you think you could use a different kind of canned food? Thx! Sherry
Layne Kangas says
Yes, I’m sure you could!
Nancy Downie says
Could you bake these in silicon molds?
Layne Kangas says
Yes, you probably could – I haven’t tried them like that, so I don’t know if there needs to be any time adjustment, etc. Let me know if you try them!
Danika says
Where did you find the cat cookie cutter? ๐
Layne Kangas says
You can usually find them on Amazon in various sizes or sometimes at craft stores in the specialty cooking/baking section ๐
Randi Beall says
I used my egg cutter and scored it both ways. When it came out of the oven and cooled a bit I just broke them apart
Tammy says
What kind of flour is best?
Layne Kangas says
I just used my regular baking flour!
Dorothy says
Can you freeze these treats
Layne Kangas says
I’ve put them in the fridge but I haven’t frozen them!
Fay says
When you say up to two weeks is that in the fridge or just in a container on a shelf ? Also what flour did you use ? I have read itโs best to use whole wheat ?
Layne Kangas says
You can use whole wheat or regular all-purpose flour. We left them in the fridge.
Randi Beall says
so far so good. sissy put her nose in the air at first, as always, hehehe, then she pounded down on the two I had in my hand. Her regular treat is not being made so the company can keep up with the Vet diet orders they have. WELL so I took the canned food as you said,(at $4 a can) and made it because of you THANK YOU THANK YOU. YUP I goofed and did not do the two parchment and learned my lesson hahah.
Lois Greene says
I cannot wait to bake these. Not only are they way less expensive than purchased cat treats that we buy they sound much healthier!
