Ingredients
12ouncesregular melting chocolates
1½teaspoonsshortening,divided into ½ teaspoon and 1 teaspoon
6mini Oreos
12mini marshmallows
16ouncesNutter Butters
8ouncescream cheese,room temperature
24ounceswhite melting chocolates
6ouncesorange melting chocolates
2pull apart red licorice candies, pulled apart to make 12 scarves
Instructions
To assemble the hats, melt the regular chocolate in a double boiler with ½ teaspoon shortening. Twist the Oreos in half and scrape off the filling. Dip a mini marshmallow in the chocolate and place it on top of the Oreo. Allow to chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes, then dip the whole hat in the chocolate. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let sit until ready to assemble.
To make the snowmen, place the Nutter Butters in food processor and pulse until fine crumbs.
Pour into the bowl of a stand mixer and add cream cheese. Mix until the dough comes together and forms a ball.
Scoop twelve 2-inch balls and roll them into even balls to form the bodies.
Scoop twelve 1-inch balls and roll them into even balls to form the heads.
Place on a cookie tray lined with parchment paper and place in the freezer for 30 minutes.
While the snowmen are freezing, add the white melting chocolate to a double boiler with 1 teaspoon of shortening. Stir as it starts to melt. Once melted, keep the water simmering on low so the chocolate doesn’t burn.
Remove the snowmen from the freezer. Dip the heads in the chocolate and then place them on the bodies. Return to freezer to chill for 20 minutes.
Remove from the freezer and dip the whole snowman in the white chocolate. Place the tray in the refrigerator to allow them to set.
Transfer the regular chocolate to a piping bag and cut just the tip off (it needs to be a very small hole, so it doesn’t rush out and to allow you to make small eyes, mouth, and buttons). Pipe on the eyes, mouth, buttons and arms.
Melt the orange melting chocolate and place in a piping bag. Cut a very small tip off and pipe on the nose.
Use the regular chocolate to glue on the hats. Tie the licorice around the neck as the scarf.

Notes
This would be a great project to do as a family, you could give each family member different colors to work with for their snowmen.
You could also make just snowmen faces instead of stacking the bodies together if you would rather.
Adding shortening helps the chocolate get smooth and even.
Icing pens would also work to draw the snowman's face and arms.
