Instructions
Before adding the raw cake mix, it is important to heat treat it. Pour the dry cake mix into a medium-sized heat-safe bowl. Microwave the cake mix in two 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval. Allow the cake mix to cool completely before mixing it into the cream cheese.
In a mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the cream cheese and whipped topping until the mixture is smooth.
Add the box of cake mix and half of the heavy cream and mix, gradually adding in a bit more cream until you’ve reached the desired texture for the dip.

Notes
Since the cake mix has uncooked raw flour in it that may have pathogens in it, it makes it not safe to consume raw. Heating it in the microwave will kill any pathogens and make it safe to use in this no-bake recipe.
Make sure that your cream cheese and butter are very soft before mixing for a super smooth and creamy dip.
This delicious dip can be served immediately or stored in the refrigerator, in a covered container, if made ahead. If you do put it into the refrigerator for longer than 30 minutes, you may need to let it sit on the counter for 5 to 10 minutes to warm up a little prior to serving. Give it a good stir as well.
