Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the cherry pie filling and drained crushed pineapple.
In a separate small bowl, mix together the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, and almond extract until smooth.
Pour the milk mixture over the cherry and pineapple mixture.
Add the whipped topping and stir until fully combined.
Fold in 2½ cups of mini marshmallows and the chopped pecans. Cover tightly and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Just before serving, sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup of mini marshmallows over the top and add maraschino cherries.
Notes
Serve in a clear bowl, such as a trifle dish, to highlight the pink color.
Stir gently to keep the fruit pieces intact.
Allow the dessert to chill for at least 2 hours so the flavors can fully come together.
