Grandma's Banana Bread
This classic banana bread is a moist, delicious, and easy to make recipe your family will love.
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter soft
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3-4 bananas about 1 1/4 cups mashed
Preheat oven to 325, grease and flour OR line with parchment paper loaf pan.
Combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon - whisk.
Combine butter and sugars until fluffy, then add eggs and vanilla, then stir in mashed bananas.
Add dry ingredients to wet and mix until just combined.
Pour into loaf pan and bake for 1 hour and 25 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.leave in pan few minutes, then cool completely on a rack.
Pro Tip: Make sure bananas are overripe, as opposed to yellow.
- To get more height with your slices, use an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch loaf pan.
