White Queso Dip

A dish is filled with food
You'll only need four simple ingredients and a few minutes to make, this creamy, cheesy white queso dip. Having just the right amount of spice and yummy melted cheese, it's best served with crunchy veggies or chips.

  • 1 pound white American cheese
  • ½ cup milk
  • 4 ounce green chilies
  • 1 teaspoon taco seasoning


  • Place the cheese and the milk in a medium-size saucepan over medium-low heat and stir until cheese has melted.
  • Remove from heat and add the green chilies and taco seasoning and mix together.
  • Serve plain with chips, pretzels, or vegetables. You can also top with homemade pico de gallo.


Pico De Gallo Ingredients:
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, diced
  • ¼ cup onion, chopped
  • ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
Method: Mix all the ingredients together and use as topping for the dip.
TIP: As you add in batches of cheese to melt, be sure to whisk constantly to make sure it stays creamy and melts perfectly.
TIP: Once the milk reaches a light simmer, immediately reduce to low. Never bring the heat over medium/low past that point. 
TIP: If your cheese dip is too thin, you can add in a tablespoon of cornstarch to help thicken it up. If your cheese dip is too thick, add a little chicken broth to help thin it out.
