Ingredients
2½
cups
all-purpose flour
1
teaspoon
salt
1
tablespoon
baking powder
1½
cups
whole milk
6
tablespoons
mayonnaise
1 to 2
tablespoons
melted butter
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 12-cup (or two 6-cup) muffin tin and set aside.
Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder.
Stir in milk and mayonnaise until all ingredients are combined.
Divide batter between 12 muffin tin cavities.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Place on the top shelf under the broiler for an additional 3-5 minutes until tops are browned.
Allow dinner rolls to cool for 5 minutes in pan.
Remove from tin and place in a serving basket to keep warm until serving.
Notes
The baking powder will help these rolls rise since there isn't any yeast in them.
Use a sifter for the dry ingredients, making sure to work out any lumps.
If you would like to brown the tops, use a pastry brush to spread melted butter over the top of each roll.
