Cut the bananas into 1-inch pieces and put them into a Ziploc bag and lay flat, trying to keep the banana pieces separate. Freeze for 2 to 3 hours until the banana is solid.
Once the bananas are solidly frozen, remove them from the Ziploc bag and put them into the food processor or blender. Then add the peanut butter, maple syrup, and lactose-free half and half. Blend this until smooth.
Take a loaf pan and pour the mixture into the pan. You could also use ice cube trays to make individual portions.
Freeze the ice cream mixture for at least one hour or until solid.
Serve up and watch your furry best friend enjoy his doggy ice cream.

The ice cream you and I enjoy as humans is not safe for dogs. You just have to be aware of digestive issues that your pup may suffer from if it consumes milk or dairy products. Using ingredients that are lactose-free will avoid any issues that your dog may have.
The frozen bananas may clump together in your food processor, so you can process them for about 20 to 30 seconds and then stir and break up the banana pieces, repeating 2 to 3 times. Then you can process until smooth as the bananas soften and don't clump together.
We suggest, for ease of use, let the ice cream freeze to soft serve, or freeze until hard and then let soften just a bit. Then scoop appropriate size scoops for your dog onto a small baking sheet. Place that baking sheet back in the freezer. Once those scoops have frozen, place them in a Ziploc bag and take one out the next time you are ready to give it to the dog. Otherwise, you have to keep refreezing the whole pan of ice cream, thawing, scooping, and repeating.
