Ingredients
1cancream of chicken soup
½cupbutter,melted
1tablespoongarlic salt
salt and pepper,to taste
½cuponions,chopped
2cupssour cream
2cupscheddar cheese,shredded
2poundsfrozen hash browns,partially thawed
2cupscornflakes,crushed
¼cupbutter,melted
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Spray a 9x13 pan with nonstick spray.
In a medium bowl, combine the soup, ½ cup melted butter, garlic salt, salt and pepper, chopped onions, sour cream, and cheddar cheese.
Place the hash browns in a large bowl.
Pour the soup mixture over the hash browns and stir until well combined.
Pour into prepared pan.
Combine the crushed cornflakes and melted butter, and sprinkle evenly over the top of the casserole.
Bake for 45 to 55 minutes.

Double this recipe when you are serving a larger crowd on special occasions or at family gatherings.
You can put this together the night before, cover it well, and put it in the fridge. Before baking, uncover and let sit on the counter for 30 minutes.
