Instructions
Cut the tops of the oranges off.
Use a spoon to scrape out the orange fruit. Be careful not to pierce through the orange skin.
Open the canister of cinnamon rolls. Place 1 cinnamon roll in each orange.
You can place the oranges in a disposable baking dish and cover with foil, or wrap each orange tightly in aluminum foil. It is up to you, but the individually wrapped oranges are how I chose to cook my oranges.
Arrange the oranges over indirect heat over hot coals from the campfire. Cook for 40 to 45 minutes (check around 35 minutes) until the cinnamon rolls are fluffy and cooked through. Remove from the heat and frost with the icing included with the cinnamon rolls. Serve in the orange while hot.
Notes
If you are not camping, but you are still craving the campfire oranges, you can simply bake the cinnamon roll stuffed oranges in the oven. Bake according to the instructions on the cinnamon roll canister.
You can save the scooped orange fruit and serve it with a canned fruit cocktail. That will make good use of the discarded fruit center.
Remember that anything cooked over the open flame will be hot when removed. Cook with care!
