30ouncesdiced tomatoes(two 15-ounce cans)

30ounceswater
6ouncestomato paste
30ounceskidney beans,drained and rinsed (two 15-ounce cans)
½cupwater
⅓cupmasa flour
20hot dogs
20hot dog buns
Instructions
In a large Dutch oven, saute the diced peppers and onions until translucent, and they start to caramelize.
Add seasonings and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring continuously. (Make sure they don’t burn.)
Add the ground meat and brown until just done. It’s okay if it still has some pink in it before you add the rest of the ingredients.
Pour in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, water, and tomato paste.
Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat and cook for about 15 minutes. Then add the drained beans.
Preheat oven to 400°F. Once it’s preheated, cook the hot dogs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for 10 to 12 minutes, rotating halfway through.
In a small bowl, mix together ½ cup of water and masa. Add half of the mixture to the chili and stir until it dissolves. Then add the remaining masa and stir until it starts to thicken.
Remove from heat and serve over hot dogs and top with your favorite toppings!
Notes
If you’re feeding a smaller crowd, you can easily cut the recipe in half.
Make sure to keep stirring once you add the seasonings so that they don't burn.
Oven temperatures vary and may need to be recalibrated periodically to ensure they are accurate. Make sure to check your hot dogs at the lower end of the recommended baking time.
