Ingredients
1wheelbrie cheese(8 ounces)
½cupred jam,I used Bonne Maman red fruits
¼cupchopped nuts, such as walnuts or pecans (optional)
Crackers or sliced baguette,for serving
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Make shallow diagonal slashes in the top of the brie with a sharp knife. This will make it easier to scoop crackers into it later.
Spread the jam on top of the brie.
Place the brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the cheese is melty when you cut into it.
Remove the baked brie from the oven and place it on a serving platter.
Serve the baked brie warm with crackers or sliced baguette and chopped nuts sprinkled on top.
Notes
Leave the rind on the cheese, as it will help hold the shape of the cheese once it is melted.
Oven temperatures vary and may need to be recalibrated periodically to ensure they are accurate. Make sure to check your brie at the lower end of the recommended baking time.
This brie appetizer is best enjoyed warm from the oven.
