Ingredients
¾cupcreamy peanut butter
¾cupbeef broth
2extra largeeggs
2cupwhole wheat flour, spooned and leveled (for treat dough)
½cupwhole wheat flour, spooned and leveled (for dusting work surface)
1cupold fashioned rolled oats
3slicesthick cut smoked bacon, cooked and crumbled (reserve the bacon grease)
Cookie cutters
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
Add the peanut butter, beef broth, eggs and reserved bacon grease to a large size (4-5 quarts) mixing bowl. Whisk until smooth and well incorporated.
Stir in the whole wheat flour, 1 cup at a time until well incorporated.
Stir in the oats, ½ cup at a time until well combined
Stir in the cooked and crumbled bacon.
Dust your work surface with the ½ cup reserved whole wheat flour.
Turn the dough out onto the floured work surface.
Use a rolling pin to roll the dough out to ¼ inch thickness.
Use the cookie cutter of your choice. (We used a bone shaped cookie cutter, but you can use any cookie cutter shape or simply slice into small squares.)
Place the cookie cut outs onto the parchment paper lined baking sheet 1 inch apart.
Bake for 20 minutes, carefully use a spatula to turn the treats over and bake for another 10 minutes.
Remove the treats from the oven and allow the treats to rest on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
If the dough is too sticky to roll out, chill it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. This will make it easier to handle and cut into shapes.
Rolling the dough between two sheets of parchment paper can prevent sticking and make it easier to transfer the dough to the work surface.

We think the small bones are perfect for small dogs, but you can make them larger if you have a bigger pet.
