Butterscotch Haystacks

These classic butterscotch haystacks combine crunchy chow mein noodles with salty peanuts, melted peanut butter and butterscotch chips for the perfect no-bake cookie!

  • 7 cups chow mein noodles
  • 1.5 cups butterscotch chips
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup salted peanuts


  • Place the peanuts and the chow mein noodles in a large bowl.
  • In a medium saucepan over low heat melt the chips and the peanut butter together.
  • Pour the butterscotch chips and peanut butter mixture over the peanuts and noodles and toss together until all coated.
  • Drop by tablespoons onto wax paper making little piles and allow to cool.
